I love software as a service businesses.  I started one myself a few years ago.  It is a great feeling when your variable costs are near zero to service each new customer.   You can charge based on the value derived by your customers, not based on your costs…  and your customers pay you every month!

Herein lies the challenge — how do you get paid every month by your customers?  The simple answer is to ask for their credit card number.  But how will you deal with the following:

I originally came across the Unbounce landing page platform from a great action-oriented post on the pearanalytics blog.  Ryan went from idea-to-launch in an evening by integrating Unbounce with a couple other marketing tools.  He then wrote it up in his own Unbounce review.

Even though I’ve launched dozens of sites with my bare hands over the years, the draw of a nicely designed quick-launch landing page as provided by Unbounce was still compelling.

Since I set up this revised blog a couple weeks ago, I’ve been looking for a WordPress plugin to create a nicely styled contact form. I came across the ContactMe plugin a couple days ago and decided to give it a try.  It was actually broken at first, but yesterday I noticed there was a fix so I reactivated it.

You can see the button on the left side of the site.  It also creates a new “Contact Me” page with a nice form — the link is in the header above.
